A small domed stoneware money pot glazed with clay collected from the Dorset coast, creating a rough and rugged surface.
Based on medieval ceramic money pots commonly used to collect theatre donations circa 16th century in London. Completely sealed with a vertical coin slot, when full they would be smashed to retrieve coins. Unbroken money pots are rarely found today.
